This is a relocation kit for the factory 3rd brake light camera on GM trucks that shows in the full screen rear view video mirror. Truck owners often lose this camera functionality altogether when adding a topper or other modification. This kit saves this expensive option! This relocation housing attaches to the flat surface on the roof of the topper and requires the cable to be routed to the factory connector inside the cab. Unplug the existing camera in the driver's side rear headliner. Mount the new camera with the relocation housing using the included adhesive tape. Run the camera harness to the factory camera plug, connect the cable into the camera wiring easily accessed in the cab of the truck. The factory camera that shows in the mirror will function the same as before, just in a different location.
