This kit is a nice addition to your Avalanche or EXT and comes with all the wiring and connectors to install into your truck. This package contains:

Includes OnStar® Rear View Mirror with 4.3 Inch Rear Camera Display, compass/temp, and Auto Dimming with Flying Lead and temp sensor harness: GM® vehicle owners don't have to sacrifice the convenience and safety of their current OnStar® mirror to gain the use of a Rear Camera Display. Mirror auto dims in accordance with the amount of glare from the headlights behind the vehicle, when used with a back up camera (included) the display automatically turns on to show what is directly behind the vehicle whenever shifted into reverse.

Compatibility
2002-2008 Chevrolet® Avalanche and Cadillac® EXT trucks with temp and compass in the mirror. If you don't have temp/compass in your mirror see SKU: CS-GMAVL-356
MIRROR NOTES: Though this mirror has the OnStar® buttons on it, it will not add OnStar® to any vehicle unless it came equipped with that feature from the factory. Existing mirror must not have passenger airbag indicator light. If you have a passenger airbag light in your mirror this kit is not recommended. If your vehicle has a factory temperature sensor it will need to be replaced with the included sensor.
Installation
You will need to drill a hole in the bezel of your tailgate handle for the included low profile camera to pass through. The hole saw and instructions are included and it is a very simple process that doesn't even require the bezel to be removed from the truck.
The mirror will replace your factory mirror and will include a harness that terminates with RCA for a simple connection to the camera as well as a new temp sensor harness. If your vehicle has a factory temperature sensor it will need to be replaced with the included sensor.
You will need to locate a 12 volt accessory power source, reverse power source, and ground for installing the camera and mirror. These power sources are located in the junction box by the drivers left foot area.
