This kit is our premium Avalanche kit and is a nice addition to your Avalanche or EXT and comes with our best camera, pre-loomed chassis harness, and all the wiring and connectors to install into your truck (additional navigation interface may be required if wiring to factory navi - see installation information tab for more info).

Additional Information: You can add a navigation interface pigtail to your order if you have a 2007-2011 model year and plan to interface this camera to your factory navigation. The CS-GMVSS1 is for trucks that came from the factory with navigation and includes a female RCA adapter with two pins that get put into your existing VSS harness plug. The CS-GMVSS2 is for instances where a factory navigation unit was added and the actual brown VSS connector was not included with the OEM navigation unit. CS-GMVSS2 contains the female RCA adapter already installed in a factory brown VSS connector that will plug into the back of your navi unit. CS-GMVSS3 is for 2012 and newer model years. **This kit is not a replacement for an OEM camera**
Installation
You will need to drill a hole in the bezel of your tailgate handle for the included low profile camera to pass through. The hole saw and instructions are included and it is a very simple process that doesn't even require the bezel to be removed from the truck.
This system will work with any aftermarket display with RCA input. If you are planning to use your factory navigation radio as the monitor you will need to have it flashed for a backup camera by your dealer before installing this camera system. To connect to factory navigation you will also need either CS-GMVSS RCA adaptor or purchase a Lockpick for even easier plug and play integration.
The reverse activated power will be tapped into either the Lockpick (if applicable) or a reverse light power source inside the cab of the truck. Detailed instructions are included that walk you through the process!
Make installation even easier with an add on 12 Volt power source to eliminate the need to locate a power source on the vehicle and avoid cutting or splicing into factory wiring! See related item SKU: CS-RPW-P
