Description
Camera is FMVSS 111 compliant! This is a plug and play camera kit that will allow you to replace your factory tailgate camera on a Sierra/Silverado 1500 Series Work Truck with this surface mounted camera - Plug and Play! Your truck must be prewired and programmed for a camera or this kit will not work. Please see the compatibility tab for more information!
Use this camera for salt spreaders, bed campers, 5th wheel applications, airstream tailgates, and any other application where you are required to remove your factory tailgate. This universal camera mounts flush with a flat surface. This universal camera is surface mounted so it will require a flat section approximately 1" x 1" for mounting. Drill a small hole and run the cable through to your factory backup camera connection. Choose the cable length from the drop down above.
*Factory radio must be programmed for a back up camera from the factory or by a dealership.

Compatibility
2019 GMC® Sierra and Chevrolet® Silverado 1500 series "Work Truck" with factory installed backup camera wiring and "UVC" RPO code. Contact your GM® dealer with your VIN number to determine which RPO code your vehicle has. **This is for a Work Truck only- Window sticker and/or VIN will indicate (WT).
Also confirm that you have the 30 pin connector for the camera wiring at the back of the truck.
**EVI Systems has certified this camera system to comply with FMVSS 111 regulations as set forth by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Testing has been performed jointly in-house and by a certified laboratory to meet or exceed the minimum requirements set forth by TP-111-V-01. FMVSS 111 field of view requirements and any other vehicle related certification is ultimately the responsibility of the vehicle up-fitter to ensure compliance.
Installation
Camera is drill-in style for flat mounting. It will require a flat section approximately 1" x 1" for mounting. Drill a small hole and connect the camera harness to the OEM conversion harness. Run the cable to your factory backup camera connection under the truck and plug it in.
